summer @ Tarkinegrove

Platty appears sometime in December and stays until the food supply runs out. Under the summer sun the bright greens dull a little. Devils and Spotted Tail Quoll are seen on the trail cameras. Boobook Owl still calls now more in the distance. Wedgetail and Brown Falcon can still be seen. Yellow wattle bird is still very vocal. The regular small birds are activly gathering insects as normal. The night sky is clear, just not truly dark until after about 10.30. Astrophotography conditions are very good you just need to start later. Orion dominates the night sky with the Southern Cross now low on the horizon.
